I'm Des, Desiree, Desi (she/her)... I answer to all. I'm your Release Technique foam rolling instructor and local Barefoot Massage Therapist, owner of Cherish & Nurture. My work is centered around myofascial therapeutic treatment & nervous system literacy, meeting you exactly where you are in your journey and honoring you! I chose to train in Release Technique foam rolling method because it treats not only muscle groups, but also the fascial system supporting those muscles WHILE aiming to comfort the body during rolling, unlike many other rolling methods. When I'm not living for bodywork, I'm living the dream as mom to a teen, some fur babies and wife to an amazing husband, soaking up the PNW vibes, binging true crime, or delving in to my latest DIY obsession. Look forward to having you in class!

Carly has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching for the past 6. As a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher with specialized training in trauma-informed yoga, Carly believes yoga is for every body and every person. Her classes blend mindful movement, breath, and a little bit of joy, creating space for students to connect with themselves exactly as they are. When she’s not teaching, Carly leads development and communications for a youth nonprofit, where she gets to combine her love of storytelling, community, and meaningful work. Outside of work and yoga, you’ll most likely find her exploring Portland, reading a good book, or hanging out with her sweet black Lab/Border Collie mix, Luna, who keeps life (and walks) very busy.

Rob (they/them) is a licensed massage therapist and somatic bodyworker whose practice is rooted in consent, presence, and trust. Trained at East West College of the Healing Arts in Portland and at Baan Hom Samunphrai in Chiang Mai, they offer traditional Thai massage on a sliding scale at The Underground Movement Studio.
At their home studio and garden apothecary, sessions expand into the full practice — heated table, cupping and scraping, herbal medicine and blended oils, hair and scalp care, plant medicine grown on site. Both are sliding scale.
Their practice centers sex workers, queer and trans folks, POC, and aligned others. DM on Instagram or reach out via Text On What’s App 360-335-5577

Sam (she/they) is a yoga teacher and adult learning professional with training rooted in trauma healing, somatics and experiential anatomy, yoga philosophy and energetics. Her teaching embraces the use of generous props, steady pacing, and language that invites rather than directs. She teaches from the belief that yoga is for every body, and she especially loves welcoming beginners and anyone who has ever wondered whether a yoga room was meant for them. Her hope is that you leave practice steadier than when you walked in and a little more at home in your body.

Rachel Tate (they/she), M.S., LMT, SEP
With 20 years of experience in health and wellness, including movement and bodywork, Rachel brings the quality of care to each class and session that only time and devotion to a practice can provide. Over the years, they have worked with teams of psychotherapists, acupuncturists, physical and occupational therapists, chiropractors, and orthopedic providers to bring quality care and recovery to many. As a provider, she is committed to offering quality care to the individuals and communities she serves with an emphasis on empowerment through resources and education.
The type of work Rachel specializes in is trauma-informed, integrative bodywork and movement that combines Somatic Experiencing methods, brain-body techniques, functional movement patterns, and fascial science aimed at re-establishing ease in everyday activity and a deeper connection with the body. Their work supports people recovering from and processing trauma, individuals who require sensory accommodations, hypermobile folks, and people who are overall interested in processing the human experience through the felt sensation. This particular approach is a complementary support to people actively engaged in psychotherapy, in addition to people looking for different therapeutic modalities, not limited to cognitive processing.
Rachel is particularly passionate about bringing a dynamic approach to mind-body connection-based healing for individuals who have felt like other methods don’t quite fit or need more accommodations than previously offered in traditional health care settings.
Their training includes a 900-hour massage therapy program, completion of the 3-year Somatic Experiencing training, a Master’s of Science in Psychology with an emphasis on post-traumatic growth, Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a focus on gender studies and community health, therapeutic movement study, and countless hours of continuing education.

Hi, I’m Katlynn (she/hers)—the person behind Tiny Sprouts Yoga! I’m a social worker, Endorsed Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist, Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher, and certified yoga teacher with 200+ hours of training in children’s yoga and mindfulness.
I believe childhood is all about wonder, connection, movement, and messy hands! 💛 I love creating playful, inclusive spaces where children can explore their bodies, big feelings, senses, and imaginations—while helping caregivers and little ones grow closer along the way.
When I’m not teaching, I’m soaking up life as a new mom to my almost-one-year-old, bonus mom to a 7-year-old, and dog mom to a corgi and border collie. We love being outside, exploring, getting curious, and finding joy in the little things. 🌿🦋🧘♀️
